Apocalypse of Abraham 2

And when I thought thus in myself, I went out of my father's house. And it came to pass that as I went out, before I shut the door of the house, I heard a mighty voice.

The voice said to me: Abraham, Abraham! And I answered and said: Here I am.

And the voice said: Thou seekest in thy heart the God of gods and the Creator? I am He. Go out from thy father Terah and go out of the house, lest thou also be slain in the sins of thy father's house.

And I went out. But I had not yet reached the door of the court when a sound of a great thunder came and burned him and his house and everything in his house, down to the ground, a space of forty cubits.
