Rabbi Ishmael said: Metatron, Prince of the Presence, said to me: Come and I will show thee all the secrets of the world and the deep secrets of the Torah.

Forthwith he took me by his hand and showed me all the chambers within which the Torah is kept, every letter inscribed with pens of fire on a crown of fire. And rays issue from every letter.
