Rabbi Ishmael said: Metatron said to me: Come and I will show thee where the spirits of the righteous dwell, and the spirits of the wicked, and the spirits of the intermediate ones.

The righteous whose souls ascend above, they are preserved in the storehouses of Araboth, and the wicked whose souls descend below are taken by two angels of destruction.
