Those men showed me the other course, that of the moon, which goes through the twelve great gates, crowned from the west to the east.

At the gates through which the moon goes in and goes out, in the first gate, to the western region, at its utmost, there are great gates to the east.

Accordingly the number of the days of the moon, in each time given, is twenty-nine on one side and on the other thirty.
