Ownership is the right to use, enjoy and dispose of property fully and freely, subject to the limits and conditions for doing so determined by law.

C.C.Q. art. 913
Certain things are not subject to appropriation; their use, common to all, is governed by general laws. Water is among them.

Servitudes are charges imposed on an immovable in favour of another immovable belonging to a different owner.

Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law.
